THE SHOW(공연)
The story of
Raymond
Briggs’ The Snowman is told through dance and music. (본 이야기는
Raymond Briggs의 이야기로써 눈사람이 춤과 음악을 통해 이야기를 전달하는 내용입니다.)
Apart from Walking
in
the Air and a Christmas carol, there is no spoken word. (Walking in
the Air(유명한곡 중 하나, ‘우리는 하늘을 걷고 있지’와 크리스마스 캐롤 이외에 어떠한 말이 쓰이지 않습니다.)
Both
of these songs and all the
other music are recorded and played back through a sound system.(두 종류의 곡들 모두 사운드 시스템에 의해 녹음되었고 작동됩니다.)
All other music is played by a live band located in a
pit area. (The Musical Director plays a baby
grand piano supplied at the venue. Additionally there are two keyboard
players;
a percussionist and a flautist. There are 146 (foursixteen) dancers who
cover
all the roles between them, requiring many costume changes, together
with 2

changes are also numerous, particularly in the first half. (장면변경 또한

The
performance duration is 1hr 40mins,

The
full version of the set consists of 5 6 Portals sitting on a white dance
floor.(정식 셋트의 구성은 하얀색의 무대 위에 6개의 문(또는 관문)으로 이루어져 있습니다.)

The portals decrease in size as they
go
upstage, the downstage portal measuring approximately 14m 16m wide by 7m
9.5m high.
All five six portals are erected by attaching header pieces to venue
flying
bars.(그들이 업스테이지로 향하는 만큼 그 관문의 사이즈는 줄고, 다운스테이 관문의 규격은 16미터 넓이에 9.5미터 높이정도이다.)

During
the performance, the most upstage Portal 5 has to fly as part of the
action. (공연중 대부분은 업스테이지 문은 공중에 위치해 있어야 한다)

The
performance space, taking into account sets, props, furniture and quick
change
rooms, requires a minimum of 20m 22m between the Stage Left and Stage
Right
walls, and a depth of no less than 14m16m. (공연공간, 주요세트, 소품들, 장비와 퀵체인지 룸들, 최소 22미터여야 하며, 무대의 왼쪽과 오른쪽 벽들 모두 16미터보다 모자람이 없어야 한다) The proscenium arch opening should be a minimum of

in order to appreciate the full effect of the performance, particularly

A grid
of 15m 16m height is also vital to realise the flying sequences. (16미터 높이의 그리드는 공중신의 실감을 더해준다)

number of scenic elements and lighting bars are flown live during the
performance therefore a counterweight flying system for these elements
is
essential.

The
stage floor must be un-raked, even and without ridges or gaps. The entire
performance space must be clear of all material not
appertaining to The Snowman. (무대는 반드시 경사가 져서는 안되며 어떠한 굴곡 또는 갭도 없어야 한다)

quick-change room will be required in the wings, possibly two if the

uses only five
portals instead of six.

HUMAN FLYING(공중신)
Two tracks –
Snowman and Boy – are rigged behind the first downstage portal and the
system
is operated by two trackers and two lifters positioned downstage left. (두개의 트랙 – 스노우맨과 소년은 The tracks,
pulleys, cables and harnesses are equipment provided by specialised
suppliers
and brought with the company. Two Human Flying Operators tour with the
Company and each
venue must supply a further two experienced operators to work alongside
them.
LIGHTING(조명)
The production
has thus
far used a Strand 520i (450 channels) lighting control and disks of the
lighting plot exist.(제작팀은 스탠다드
520i(450 채널), 조명조정기와 조명의 디자인 구상도 디스크를 가지고 있어야 한다.) The
lighting is complicated and uses a mixture of intelligent and generic
instruments with gobos (rotating and static) and colour in abundance.(조명은 복잡하고 종합적으로 조정을 요하며 차음판을 포함한 장비와 풍부한 색채를 가지고 있어야 한다) Two Snowboys are
used to spray members of the audience with snow at the end of the
performance.(두명의 눈사람은 공연의 끝에 눈을 연출하기 위해 관객들에게 스프레이를 이용한다) A Heavy
Fogger or Glaciator have been used instead of dry ice.(드라이 아이스 대신에 거대한 분무기나 Glaciator가 사용되어 왔다)
Either will
suffice.(어느것

Two balanced
followspots
with experienced operators are required.(followspots의 균형은 경험있는 오퍼레이터라면 필수이다)
SOUND
A quality
sound system is
vital and must include CD and mini-disk playback facilities, a good
mixer and
foldback for the dancers.(사운드 시스템의 질은 CD와 미니 디스크 재생시설들, 좋은 믹서와 댄서들을 위한 foldback으로 평가할수 있다) Auditorium speakers are required around the seating
areas,
including the rear of auditorium, and at all levels. (관객석 스피커의 모든 레벨은 관객 Suitability of
any system to be confirmed with
sound designer.
Piano
tuning at regular intervals would be required during the run of the show.좌석을 꼭 포괄(감싸야)하여야 하며, 관객석의 후부도 포함하여 포괄하여야 한다)
SPECIAL EFFECTS
Dry ice and/or
equivalents are used on several occasions. (드라이 아이스나 그에 상응하는 물질은 여러경우에 이용되어 왔다) There is a 10 second strobe
effect half
way through the first half of the show.
Foam snow is
distributed over the auditorium at the finale.(거품눈은 공연의 끝에 관객석을 덮는다(뿌려진다))

The get in and
fit up at each venue will require a minimum of 2 ½ clear days. (셋업에 총 이틀 반나절이 걸립니다.)

VENUE FACILITIES (설비)
Wardrobe (의상실)
We will need
access to the
maintenance wardrobe (ideally 2x washing machines, 2x tumble dryers, and
2
twin-tubs, iron and ironing board). Access to a local dry cleaners used
to
cleaning theatrical costumes is also necessary.(우리는 유지,보수할수 있는 의상실이 필요합니다.
(필수적으로 2대의 세탁기, 2대의 탈수기와 손빨래가 가능한 2개의 통, 다리미와 다리미 판이 필요합니다)).

Dressing Rooms
There will
probably be 89 female and 6 male dancers. Dressing rooms can be shared
but
there are many bulky costumes so the rooms should be large. (아마도 8개의 여성용 의상룸과 6개의 필요할 것 입니다. 드레스 룸은 분리가 가능해야 하며,
부피가 큰 의상은 큰 의상룸이 필요할것입니다. ) Easy
access to sufficient showers is vital. (
A separate dressing
room for the boy and chaperone would be needed.(소년과 샤프롱(보조자)를 위해 별도로 마련해주어야 합니다)
TRANSPORT
The scenery,
furniture, props and costumes fit in to 2 trailers, each internally
13.7m long
x 3.1m high.(무대, 세트, 소품
과 의상은 2개의 트레일러에 싣고, 각각 내부면적이 13.7미터 길이에
3.1미터 높이여야 합니다.) Access to the stage from the
trailers
will require a minimum 3m high x 2.5m wide clearance.(트레일러는 3미터 높이에
2.5미터 넓이면 충분히 무대에 접근할 수 있을것입니다.)
Lighting and
sound equipment travel on a third trailer. Each
container weighs approximately 6.5 tonnes (3.5 tonnes
for the container itself, and 3 tonnes for contents) (조명과 음향 장비는 세번째 트레일러에 싣습니다. 각 컨테이너의 무개는 약 6.5톤입니다.(컨테
이너 자체무게 3.5톤, 내부물품무게 3톤=총 6.5톤)
